What Roleo handles

Roleo processes account details such as your email address, display name, sign-in provider, access status and basic activity totals. The service also maintains security records such as sessions, password-reset tokens and abuse-prevention counters.

Desktop documents

Your source documents, generated resumes, cover letters, job results and working folders remain on your computer. When you request matching, tailoring, cover-letter generation or AI help, the relevant resume, experience and job text is sent securely to Roleo's central AI service for that request.

Central AI processing

Roleo sends the text needed to complete an AI request to OpenAI through Roleo's server-side account. Users do not provide an AI provider key. Roleo records usage counts to control cost and investigate service problems, but the application does not intentionally store AI request text in activity analytics.

Website and administration

The website uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in. Approved administrators can view accounts, access status, plans and aggregate activity so they can operate the private test. Secrets used by the service are never returned through the administration interface.

Storage and protection

Cloud account data is stored using Cloudflare services. Access controls, private-testing approval, rate limits, session expiry and restricted downloads are used to protect the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and deletion

Account and activity records are retained while needed for private testing, security and service operation. An administrator can delete a non-administrator account and its associated cloud records. Local desktop documents remain under the user's control and can be removed from the computer by the user. See the account and local-data removal guide.

Your choices

You may stop using Roleo, sign out, remove local files or request account deletion through the contact provided with your testing invitation. Do not include confidential information that is unnecessary for a job application.
